Cooking Instructions – Halibut Fillets

Preparation
All cooking times below are based on fully thawed fillets and are approximate. Cook until the fish is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork. Avoid overcooking.

Thawing
Thaw under refrigeration. Remove fillets from packaging, place on a covered plate, and keep refrigerated below 3°C (38°F). Once thawed, consume within 1–2 days.


Cooking Methods

Pan Sauté
Preheat a pan over medium heat. Lightly oil and season as desired. Cook covered for 5–6 minutes on the first side. Flip and cook an additional 5–6 minutes.
Cook until opaque and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).

Grill
Preheat grill to medium heat. Brush fillets with olive oil or melted butter and season. Wrap in foil. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side.
Cook until opaque and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).

Broil
Preheat broiler to high. Lightly brush with oil or butter and season. Place on an oven-safe pan on the top rack. Broil for 4–5 minutes per side.
Cook until opaque and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).

Bake
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly brush with oil or butter and season. Place on a baking tray and bake for 12–14 minutes.
Cook until opaque and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).

Air Fryer
Preheat to 175°C (350°F). Lightly spray basket with non-stick spray. Cook for 11–13 minutes.
Cook until opaque and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
